Shopping at SugarSync
SugarSync is a cloud service company that has been around since 2009. They offer service packages that allow users to sync files across a wide array of computers and mobile devices. SugarSync offers multiple packages, each catered to a different type of user. Here, we take a look at three of these packages, and highlight what they can do for your web based business efforts.
Good: SugarSync Personal 60GB
What you get: SugarSync is a Cloud Service, meaning that it provides an online, remote space to store your files that can be accessed from any computerized device with Internet access. This method of storage allows for all of your computerized devices to be synced, and thus contain identical information. When applied to running a business, SugarSync’s cloud storage system can increase mobility and overall organization, as well as minimize costs.
In addition to the 60GB of cloud storage, this introductory Personal plan also provides Online Backup and TLS level security on all of your files. Both of these features are pretty much mandatory if you’re trying to run a business that lasts -- as a business that lasts is both fluid and financially secure.
Better: SugarSync Personal 250GB
What you get:
This plan is essentially identical to the 60GB personal plan. The only difference is the 190GB of extra space. Upgrading to this plan can be a wise choice for those entrepreneurs with big plans in mind.
Best: SugarSync Business Pro
Cost: $55.00/mo/3-10 users
What you get:SugarSync’s Business Pro package is again much like the Personal 60GB, however it is designed for business applications. As such, it contains additional features, like an Admin Dashboard and Collaboration options, that allow for optimal team productivity and file sharing. Oh, and did we mention it also affords you 1 TB of storage space?
SugarSync is a no-frills cloud storage provider. What you pay for is what you get. But, if you’re looking for affordable and reliable cloud space, SugarSync definitely worth the price; and, all-in-all we rate them a well deserved 4.5/5.
